Spring Creek Training Centre
Creating Future Equestrian Champions
I have been learning from
Kim for over 10 years, not
only to ride but to learn
good horsemanship.
3-Day Eventing
Eventing could be termed an "equestrian triathlon." It involves working with a horse both on the flat and over fences. The three phases are: dressage, cross-country, and show jumping.
Dressage
Dressage is a French term meaning "training" and its purpose is to develop the horse's natural athletic ability and willingness to work making him calm, supple and attentive to his rider.
Show Jumping
Show jumping, also known as "stadium jumping" or "jumpers," is scored objectively based on whether the horse attempts an obstacle, clears it, and finishes the course in the allotted time.
Breeding
Horse breeding programs require extensive education and training and years if experience to provide a sound genetic influence on the sport horse community.
Spring Creek Training Centre is owned and operated by Kim Scheid, BHSI (Certified British Horse Society Instructor), and is the home of the Spring Creek Equestrian Team. Located in Hemet, California on 40 acres of rolling hills amongst ancient oak trees, the Spring Creek Training Centre provides the facilities and atmosphere to foster a learning environment for Horses and Human athletes.
Development
Kim Scheid has devoted her life to developing athletes for 3-Day Eventing, Horse Trials and Classical Dressage and Kim's students have enjoyed success at all levels of Eventing, Dressage and Show Jumping. Although Kim is an accomplished competitive equestrian herself, she is committed to developing the skills of her students and horses.
Breeding
Many champion horses have been produced from Kim Scheid's breeding
program. Kim's dedication to producing quality sport horses is evident by her results.
In addition to the breeding program,
Spring Creek Training Centre is the home to annual Keurings, and has been hosting Inspections for the last 20 years
Kim is awesome- she has
been there and done it! No
matter what the problem -
Kim always has a new tip
or trick to help you and
your horse to overcome it!
I started riding with Kim as
an adult and she is the most amazing teacher- she really
understands your horse and
you- she helps you to overcome those fears and
concerns and my riding has
improved tremendously in
the time I have been
working with her.
